Pep Guardiola’s men took the lead in the 30th minute when Sergio Aguero converted Raheem Sterling’s cross.
Iwobi leveled scores for the Gunners after beautiful work from Theo Walcott who got the second for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Akpom replaced Alexis Sanchez and scored in the 85th minute to put the game beyond the reach of the Etihad Stadium outfit.
And with three minutes left to play, Iheanacho who had replaced Aguero headed home Jesus Navas’ cross to reduce the deficit for his side.
Manchester City begin their English Premier League campaign on August 13 when they host Sunderland, while Arsenal kick off their campaign at the Emirates Stadium versus Liverpool.
